Anna & Matthew - Swancar Farm Country House
Its late May and I'm on my way to Derby for Anna and Matt's church wedding and it's pouring down. I don't just mean the odd trickle of rain. Its windscreen wipers on full and still not clearing all the rain away pouring down. It's bloody wet out there this morning!
A quick look at the weather app tells me the rain should hopefully stop about an hour before the ceremony so fingers crossed! Prep starts at Anna's parents house and I get the pleasure of working alongside my fav videographer, Jason Lynch and his assistant shooter, Glen!
Worked with these guys loads over the last few years and its always a blast! Prep is well underway at Anna's parents and the sky seems to be getting a little brighter as the time nears for Anna to pop the dress on! After a few stories of penis and vagina cakes courtesy of the hilarious bride, its time for the finishing touches. Jason, Glen and I head off for the church in Melbourne and discover we've been granted access to the Vicar's back garden which backs onto a lake. The view is amazing!!
After a few pics with groom and his ushers, Anna arrives in a stunning Rolls Royce alongside all the gorgeous bridesmaids!!
Big shout out to the vicar for letting us have free reign throughout the ceremony. Its a refreshing break for a group of professional photographers and videographers to be allowed to operate to our creative potential in a church. Normally we get Father Cantankerous putting us in a dark corner because he's worried we might walk around naked with our camera's sounding like fog horns, while letting fireworks off! ... Absolute gem of a vicar today!
After the ceremony its outside to find out if the rain has held off and it has!!!! We spent ages in the Vicar's garden as it was so picturesque. Even managed fire off all the group photos! After sending all the guests back to Swancar Farm Country House for the wedding reception we took Anna & Matt for a quick walk around the lake for some amazing couple shots! The locations for this shoot were stunning. Love it when you weren't expecting to find such amazing locations and you're gifted these stunning opportunities!
After a short hop over the Nottinghamshire border, its off to Swancar Farm Country House for the reception. Luckily no more rain for the rest of the day and this lets us capture more coupley loveliness in the rape seed fields which are still in full bloom!
Anna & Matt were a photographers dream to work with on the day! They take to the floor after the wedding breakfast to start the evening shenanigans and bring our coverage to a close. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Price on tying the knot and a huge thanks for organising a stunning day!
