Its the final weekend of August and we’re finally at the end of the summer heatwave. It’s certaininly been one long hot summer and it’s been nearly four months since I last saw rain!! Can’t remember a summer like it since I became a wedding photographer. Three months of pure sunshine!!!

Today I’m off to Lincoln and to one of my favourite wedding locations in the country - Doddington Hall. It has without doubt the best gardens for wedding portraits - especially during spring when the every thing is in full bloom. I start down at the Delaval Rooms for Hayley’s preparation which based in the middle of a gorgeous stable yard over looking the Hall. The rooms from a photographers point of view is its open, its tall and there’s lots of light and plenty of great spots for bridal portraits - It’s a relaxed, chilled out prep for Hayley and her bridesmaids and that time soon whizzes by as its time to walk up to hall for the ceremony in breathtaking Gallery situated on the top floor of the Hall

Once the gorgeous ceremony is done Hayley & James lead their guests out in front of the Hall for some family group shots before me and the newlyweds head into the secluded gardens for some natural couple shots! After a beautiful stroll around the ever stunning gardens its off to mingle with the guests before heading in for the wedding breakfast!

The speeches have all the guests laughing and crying and before I know it the day here at Doddington Hall is brought to close with the first dance between Hayley & James
