It's that time of year when I'm managing to squeeze a few blog posts in before I hibernate for a few months and prepare myself for a mental, stupid and crazy 2018!! - I'm going to need the rest as there's a staggering 48 weddings to shoot next year!

Lets take a trip back to longer, warmer days and head on over to the gorgeous Stubton Hall for Jess & Joe's big day. It's late August and I'm coming to the end of an ''10 wedding month'' and looking forward to things slowing down in September! I say slowing down but what I mean is that I cant shoot much during September because I've got shed loads of editing to do!!!

The weather's looking promising as I arrive at ever wonderful Stubton Hall and it looks set to stay nice all day!!! I love the peace and quiet which surrounds this 19th century country house and there's a moment out on the front lawn before I head into the prep. While having a walk around the lake at the front of the house the birds are singing, the smell of freshly cut grass in the air, the sun beating down on me I'm reminded how lucky I am doing what I do. Like every wedding I shoot - its a damn privilege and will never be taken for granted!!!

Prep is well under way when I arrive and the girls are in the hands of the ever elegantly stylish Allison Jenner who's on hair styling duty. Joe is actually getting ready here at Stubton Hall this morning so it allows me to flit between the two preps and capture some great moments!

The whole day is here at Stubton Hall today and can't stress how much I prefer these occasions all under one roof! The whole day flows so easily and there's no worry of hitting traffic if travel is involved! You always think it will never happens and trust me it does! Even a 15 minute travel delay has repercussions! Everything under one roof is more relaxed and it allows you capture everything you want to! Nothing is rushed and this allows the bride, groom and guests to enjoy themselves more!

The ceremony arrives after a wonderfully chilled prep and Jess & Joe tie knot in the gorgeously light filled Music room followed by canapes and drinks out on the lawn with all their guests! The sun is shining and couldn't ask for more perfect weather for the photos!

After the wedding breakfast and speeches, the sun is getting lower on the horizon and the golden hour is upon us! So I grab the bride and groom and head out for some gorgeous golden hour shots! The light at Stubton Hall this time in the evening is perfect!

The first dance arrives and after getting in amongst the shape throwing guests its time to finish up at the ever stunning Stubton Hall and look forward to my next visit!
